In 2014 I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail northbound from Georgia to Maine. As I hiked I recorded waypoints to a map to track my progress.

About this map

The map on this page is rendered by Mapbox from the data in this repository. The GeoJSON is generated using Check In for Android and a custom server. New data is pushed to the Git repo on an hourly basis by a cron job, though in reality there will only be new data about once per day (or whenever I reach a town with Wifi to upload it).
